14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. (Ac 5:17; Ro 2:8; Ro 13:13; 2Co 12:20; Ga 5:20; Php 1:17; Php 2:3; Jas 3:16) 

New International Version

14 But if you harbour bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 

New International Reader’s Version

14 But suppose your hearts are jealous and bitter. Suppose you are concerned only about getting ahead. Then don’t boast about it. And don’t say no to the truth.

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
