Isaiah 65:7

English Standard Version

7 both your iniquities and your fathers’ iniquities together, says the Lord; because they made offerings on the mountains and insulted me on the hills, I will measure into their lap payment for their former deeds.”[1] (Ex 20:5; Eze 20:27; Mt 23:35) 

New International Version

7 both your sins and the sins of your ancestors,’ says the Lord. ‘Because they burned sacrifices on the mountains and defied me on the hills, I will measure into their laps the full payment for their former deeds.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

7 I will punish them for their sins. I will also punish them for the sins of their people before them.’ This is what the LORD says. ‘They burned sacrifices on the mountains. They disobeyed me by worshipping other gods on the hills. So I will make sure they are fully punished for all the sins they have committed.’ 

King James Version

7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
