Isaiah 30:2

English Standard Version

2 who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! (Isa 31:1; Isa 36:6) 

New International Version

2 who go down to Egypt without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection, to Egypt’s shade for refuge. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 They go down to Egypt without asking me for advice. They look to Pharaoh to help them. They ask Egypt to keep them safe. 

King James Version

2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
