Isaiah 23:9

English Standard Version

9 The Lord of hosts has purposed it, to defile the pompous pride of all glory,[1] to dishonor all the honored of the earth. (Eze 28:7) 

New International Version

9 The Lord Almighty planned it, to bring down her pride in all her splendour and to humble all who are renowned on the earth. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 The LORD who rules over all planned to do it. He wanted to bring down all its pride and glory. He wanted to shame those who were honoured all over the earth. 

King James Version

9 The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
