8 Then he who saw cried out:[1] “Upon a watchtower I stand, O Lord, continually by day, and at my post I am stationed whole nights. (Hab 2:1) 

New International Version

8 And the lookout[1] shouted, ‘Day after day, my lord, I stand on the watchtower; every night I stay at my post. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 ‘My master!’ the guard shouts back. ‘Day after day I stand here on the lookout tower. Every night I stay here on duty.
