Isaiah 21:12

English Standard Version

12 The watchman says: “Morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire; come back again.” (Job 36:20; Ps 37:36; Am 5:8) 

New International Version

12 The watchman replies, ‘Morning is coming, but also the night. If you would ask, then ask; and come back yet again.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

12 The guard answers, ‘Morning is coming, but the night will return. If you want to ask again, come back and ask.’ 

King James Version

12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
