Isaiah 16:12

English Standard Version

12 And when Moab presents himself, when he wearies himself on the high place, when he comes to his sanctuary to pray, he will not prevail. (Nu 22:41; Nu 23:14; Nu 23:28; 1Ki 18:29; Isa 15:2) 

New International Version

12 When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself out; when she goes to her shrine to pray, it is to no avail. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 Moab’s people go to their high place to pray. But all they do is wear themselves out. Their god Chemosh can’t help them at all. 

King James Version

12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
