3 The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.” (Jer 8:7)

3 The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

3 The ox knows its master. The donkey knows where its owner feeds it. But Israel does not know me. My people do not understand me.’
