Hosea 9:1

English Standard Version

1 Rejoice not, O Israel! Exult not like the peoples; for you have played the whore, forsaking your God. You have loved a prostitute’s wages on all threshing floors. (Jer 44:17; Ho 1:2; Ho 2:5) 

New International Version

1 Do not rejoice, Israel; do not be jubilant like the other nations. For you have been unfaithful to your God; you love the wages of a prostitute at every threshing-floor. 

New International Reader’s Version

1 Israel, don’t be joyful. Don’t be glad as the other nations are. You haven’t been faithful to your God. You love to get paid for being a prostitute. Your pay is the corn at every threshing-floor. 

King James Version

1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
