Genesis 50:20

English Standard Version

20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[1] should be kept alive, as they are today. (Ge 45:5; Ge 45:7)

New International Version

20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

New International Reader’s Version

20 You planned to harm me. But God planned it for good. He planned to do what is now being done. He wanted to save many lives.
