4 But Jacob did not send Benjamin, Joseph’s brother, with his brothers, for he feared that harm might happen to him. (Ge 35:18; Ge 42:38) 

New International Version

4 But Jacob did not send Benjamin, Joseph’s brother, with the others, because he was afraid that harm might come to him. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 But Jacob didn’t send Joseph’s brother Benjamin with them. He was afraid Benjamin might be harmed. 

King James Version

4 But Benjamin, Joseph' brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.
