23 Seven ears, withered, thin, and blighted by the east wind, sprouted after them, 

New International Version

23 After them, seven other ears sprouted – withered and thin and scorched by the east wind.

23 After them, seven other ears of corn came up. They were weak and thin and dried up by the east wind.
