Genesis 4:7

English Standard Version

7 If you do well, will you not be accepted?[1] And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to[2] you, but you must rule over it.” (Ge 3:16; Ec 8:12; Isa 3:10; Ro 2:6)

New Int. Readers Version

7 Do what is right. Then you will be accepted. If you don't do what is right, sin is waiting at your door to grab you. It longs to have you. But you must rule over it.”

King James Version

7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
