7 But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord put him to death. (1Ch 2:3) 

New International Version

7 But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so the Lord put him to death.

7 But Judah’s eldest son Er was evil in the LORD’s eyes. So the LORD put him to death.
