20 When Judah sent the young goat by his friend the Adullamite to take back the pledge from the woman’s hand, he did not find her. 

New International Version

20 Meanwhile Judah sent the young goat by his friend the Adullamite in order to get his pledge back from the woman, but he did not find her. 

New International Reader’s Version

20 Judah sent his friend Hirah with the young goat he had promised. He wanted to get back what he had given to the woman. But his friend Hirah couldn’t find her. 

King James Version

20 And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman' hand: but he found her not.
