Genesis 33:8

8 Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company[1] that I met?” Jacob answered, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.” (Ge 32:5; Ge 32:16; Ge 33:15) 

New International Version

8 Esau asked, ‘What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?’ ‘To find favour in your eyes, my lord,’ he said.

8 Esau asked, ‘Why did you send all those herds I saw?’ ‘I hoped I could do something to please you,’ Jacob replied. 

King James Version

8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
