Genesis 30:1

English Standard Version

1 When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she envied her sister. She said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I shall die!” (Ge 29:31) 

New International Version

1 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, ‘Give me children, or I’ll die!’ 

New International Reader’s Version

1 Rachel saw that she wasn’t having any children by Jacob. So she became jealous of her sister. She said to Jacob, ‘Give me children, or I’ll die!’ 

King James Version

1 And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.
