Genesis 29:32

English Standard Version

32 And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben,[1] for she said, “Because the Lord has looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me.” (Ge 31:42; Ex 3:7; Ex 4:31; De 26:7) 

New International Version

32 Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben,[1] for she said, ‘It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

32 Leah became pregnant. She had a son. She named him Reuben. She said, ‘The LORD has seen me suffer. Surely my husband will love me now.’ 

King James Version

32 And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.
