English Standard Version

28 Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob. (Ge 27:4; Ge 27:7; Ge 27:9) 

New International Version

28 Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 Isaac liked the meat of wild animals. So Esau was his favourite son. But Rebekah’s favourite was Jacob. 

King James Version

28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
