18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your offspring I give[1] this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, (Ge 12:7; Ge 13:15; Ge 24:7; Ge 26:4; Ex 23:31; Nu 34:2; De 1:7; De 34:4; Jos 1:4; Ne 9:8)

18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, ‘To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi[1] of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates – 

New International Reader’s Version

18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram. He said, ‘I am giving this land to your family who comes after you. It reaches from the River of Egypt to the great River Euphrates.
