English Standard Version

28 Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his kindred, in Ur of the Chaldeans. 

New International Version

28 While his father Terah was still alive, Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans, in the land of his birth. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 Haran died in the city of Ur in Babylonia, the land where he was born. Haran died while his father Terah was still alive. 

King James Version

28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
