Galatians 2:21

English Standard Version

21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness[1] were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. (Ga 3:21; Ga 5:4; Heb 7:11)

New International Version

21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!’[1]

New International Reader’s Version

21 I do not get rid of the grace of God. What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!

King James Version

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
