Ezra 8:36

English Standard Version

36 They also delivered the king’s commissions to the king’s satraps[1] and to the governors of the province Beyond the River, and they aided the people and the house of God. (Ezr 7:21; Es 3:12; Es 8:9; Es 9:3; Da 3:2; Da 3:27; Da 6:2) 

New International Version

36 They also delivered the king’s orders to the royal satraps and to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, who then gave assistance to the people and to the house of God. 

New International Reader’s Version

36 They also handed over the king’s orders. They gave them to the royal officials and governors who ruled over the land west of the River Euphrates. Then those men helped the people. They also did many things for the house of God. 

King James Version

36 And they delivered the king' commissions unto the king' lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
