Ezra 4:20

English Standard Version

20 And mighty kings have been over Jerusalem, who ruled over the whole province Beyond the River, to whom tribute, custom, and toll were paid. (Ge 15:18; Jos 1:4; 1Ki 4:21; Ezr 4:13; Ezr 7:24; Ps 72:8) 

New International Version

20 Jerusalem has had powerful kings ruling over the whole of Trans-Euphrates, and taxes, tribute and duty were paid to them. 

New International Reader’s Version

20 Jerusalem has had powerful kings. Some of them ruled over everything west of the Euphrates. Taxes, gifts and fees were paid to them. 

King James Version

20 There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
