English Standard Version

14 But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out. (Eze 20:9) 

New International Version

14 But for the sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out. 

New International Reader’s Version

14 But I wanted my name to be honoured. I kept it from being treated as if it were not holy. I did not want that to happen in front of the nations. They had seen me bring Israel out of Egypt.

14 But I wrought for my name' sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
