23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? (Eze 18:32; Eze 33:11; 1Ti 2:4; 1Ti 2:6; Tit 2:11; 2Pe 3:9)

23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

23 When sinful people die, it does not give me any joy,’ announces the LORD and King. ‘But when they turn away from their sins and live, that makes me very happy.
