5 And Pharaoh said, “Behold, the people of the land are now many,[1] and you make them rest from their burdens!” (Ex 1:7; Ex 1:9)

5 Then Pharaoh said, ‘Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

5 Pharaoh continued, ‘There are large numbers of your people in the land. But you are stopping them from working.’
