Exodus 4:20

English Standard Version

20 So Moses took his wife and his sons and had them ride on a donkey, and went back to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the staff of God in his hand. (Ex 17:9; Ex 18:2; Nu 20:8) 

New International Version

20 So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey and started back to Egypt. And he took the staff of God in his hand. 

New International Reader’s Version

20 So Moses got his wife and sons. He put them on a donkey. Together they started back to Egypt. And he took the walking stick in his hand. It was the stick God would use in a powerful way. 

King James Version

20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.
