9 It was square. They made the breastpiece doubled, a span[1] its length and a span its breadth when doubled. 

New International Version

9 It was square – a span[1] long and a span wide – and folded double. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 The chest cloth was 25 centimetres square. It was folded in half. 

King James Version

9 It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.
