8 And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right. (De 16:19; 1Sa 8:3; 2Ch 19:7; Ps 26:10; Pr 17:23; Isa 1:23; Isa 5:23; Isa 33:15) 

New International Version

8 ‘Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 ‘Do not take money from people who want special favours. It makes you blind to the truth. It twists the words of good people.
