Exodus 15:25

25 And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log,[1] and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the Lord[2] made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them, (Ex 14:10; Ex 16:4; Ex 17:4; De 8:2; De 8:16; Jud 2:22; Jud 3:1; Jud 3:4; 2Ki 2:21; 2Ki 4:41; Ps 66:10)

New International Version

25 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.

25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD. The LORD showed him a stick. Moses threw it into the water. The water became fit to drink. There the LORD gave a ruling and instruction for the people. And there he tested them.

25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
