Esther 9:4

English Standard Version

4 For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame spread throughout all the provinces, for the man Mordecai grew more and more powerful. (2Sa 3:1; 1Ch 11:9) 

New International Version

4 Mordecai was prominent in the palace; his reputation spread throughout the provinces, and he became more and more powerful. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 He was well known in the palace. His fame spread all through the territories. So he became more and more important. 

King James Version

4 For Mordecai was great in the king' house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
