English Standard Version

9 Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master[1] and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him. (Le 25:43; De 10:17; Job 31:13; Joh 13:13) 

New International Version

9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favouritism with him. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. When you warn them, don’t be too hard on them. You know that the God who is their Master and yours is in heaven. And he treats everyone the same. 

King James Version

9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
