4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. (Ec 10:13; Ro 1:28; Eph 4:29; Eph 5:20) 

New International Version

4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 There must not be any bad language or foolish talk or dirty jokes. They are out of place. Instead, you should give thanks.

4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
