Ephesians 1:11

English Standard Version

11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, (De 4:20; De 32:9; Ac 20:27; Ro 8:28; Eph 1:5; Eph 1:14; Eph 3:11; Re 4:11) 

New International Version

11 In him we were also chosen,[1] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,

11 We were also chosen to belong to him. God decided to choose us long ago in keeping with his plan. He works out everything to fit his plan and purpose.
