Deuteronomy 5:5

English Standard Version

5 while I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain. He said: (Ex 19:16; Ex 20:18; Ex 20:21; Ex 24:2; Ga 3:19)

5 (At that time I stood between the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:
