Deuteronomy 32:47

English Standard Version

47 For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.” (Le 18:5; De 30:20) 

New International Version

47 They are not just idle words for you – they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

47 They aren’t just useless words for you. They are your very life. If you obey them, you will live in the land for a long time. It’s the land you are going across the River Jordan to take as your own.’

47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
