English Standard Version

19 and they shall fine him a hundred shekels[1] of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought a bad name upon a virgin[2] of Israel. And she shall be his wife. He may not divorce her all his days. (Mt 19:8; Mr 10:11; Lu 16:18)

New International Version

19 They shall fine him a hundred shekels[1] of silver and give them to the young woman’s father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives.

New International Reader’s Version

19 They’ll make him weigh out 1.2 kilograms of silver. They’ll give it to the young woman’s father. That’s because the man has said an Israelite virgin is a bad woman. She will continue to be his wife. He must not divorce her as long as he lives.

King James Version

19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
