Deuteronomy 20:18

English Standard Version

18 that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the Lord your God. (Ex 23:33; De 7:4; De 12:30; De 18:9) 

New International Version

18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshipping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God. 

New International Reader’s Version

18 If you don’t destroy them, they’ll teach you to do all the things the LORD hates. He hates the way they worship their gods. If you do those things, you will sin against the LORD your God. 

King James Version

18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.
