Deuteronomy 1:13

English Standard Version

13 Choose for your tribes wise, understanding, and experienced men, and I will appoint them as your heads.’ (Ex 18:21; Nu 11:16) 

New International Version

13 Choose some wise, understanding and respected men from each of your tribes, and I will set them over you.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

13 So choose some wise men from each of your tribes. They must understand how to give good advice. The people must have respect for them. I will appoint those men to have authority over you.’ 

King James Version

13 Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.
