Deuteronomy 16:19

English Standard Version

19 You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality, and you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous. (Ex 23:2; Ex 23:6; Ex 23:8; Le 19:15; De 1:17; De 24:17; De 27:19; Isa 10:2; Am 5:12) 

New International Version

19 Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. 

New International Reader’s Version

19 Do what is right. Treat everyone the same. Don’t take money from people who want special favours. It makes those who are wise close their eyes to the truth. It twists the words of those who have done nothing wrong. 

King James Version

19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
