Daniel 8:12

English Standard Version

12 And a host will be given over to it together with the regular burnt offering because of transgression,[1] and it will throw truth to the ground, and it will act and prosper. (Da 8:24; Da 11:28; Da 11:30) 

New International Version

12 Because of rebellion, the Lord’s people[1] and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 Because many of the LORD’s people refused to obey him, they were handed over to the horn. The daily sacrifices were also given over to it. The horn was successful no matter what it did. And true worship of God was thrown down to the ground. 

King James Version

12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
