English Standard Version

8 Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and the Persians, which cannot be revoked.” (Es 1:19; Es 8:8; Da 6:7; Da 6:12; Da 6:15; Da 8:20) 

New International Version

8 Now, Your Majesty, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered – in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

8 Now give the order. Write it down in the law of the Medes and Persians. Then it can’t be changed.’ 

King James Version

8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
