15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities[1] and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.[2] (Ge 3:15; Ps 68:18; Isa 53:12; Mt 12:29; Lu 10:18; Joh 12:31; Joh 16:11; Eph 2:16; Eph 4:8; Col 2:11; Heb 2:14) 

New International Version

15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[1] 

New International Reader’s Version

15 He took away the weapons of the powers and authorities. He made a public show of them. He won the battle over them by dying on the cross. 

King James Version

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
