36 Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.[1] She was full of good works and acts of charity. (Jos 19:46; 1Ti 2:10) 

New International Version

36 In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.

36 In Joppa there was a believer named Tabitha. Her name in the Greek language is Dorcas. She was always doing good and helping poor people. 

King James Version

36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
