English Standard Version

46 who found favor in the sight of God and asked to find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.[1] (Ge 49:24; 1Sa 16:1; 1Ki 8:17; 1Ch 22:7; Ps 89:19; Ps 132:5; Isa 49:26; Ac 13:22) 

New International Version

46 who enjoyed God’s favour and asked that he might provide a dwelling-place for the God of Jacob.[1] 

New International Reader’s Version

46 David was blessed by God. So David asked if he could build a house for the God of Jacob. 

King James Version

46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
