11 Now there came a famine throughout all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction, and our fathers could find no food. (Ge 41:54; Ge 42:5; Ps 105:16) 

New International Version

11 ‘Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our ancestors could not find food. 

New International Reader’s Version

11 ‘There was not enough food for all Egypt and Canaan. This brought great suffering. Jacob and his sons couldn’t find food. 

King James Version

11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
