English Standard Version

41 But striking a reef,[1] they ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf. (2Co 11:25)

New International Version

41 But the ship struck a sand-bar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.

New International Reader’s Version

41 But the ship hit a sandbar. So the front of it got stuck and wouldn’t move. The back of the ship was broken to pieces by the pounding of the waves.

King James Version

41 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
