3 There he spent three months, and when a plot was made against him by the Jews[1] as he was about to set sail for Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia. (Ac 9:24; Ac 13:50; Ac 20:19)

New International Version

3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia.

3 There he stayed for three months. He was just about to sail for Syria. But some Jews were making plans against him. So he decided to go back through Macedonia.

King James Version

3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
