23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[1] put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 

New International Reader’s Version

23 Long ago God planned that Jesus would be handed over to you. With the help of evil people, you put Jesus to death. You nailed him to the cross.
